A/c Wiring

I was wondering if anyone has come across this issue: I have an '89 Mi16 (USA model) with A/C compressor that does not work. The compressor relay is a green 4 pin mounted in a black plastic box in the engine compartment. One of the wires has a fuse that goes to ground. I have another harness that I bought from a wreck that has a black 5 pin relay with an external diode that also goes to ground. Does anyone have an idea which configuration is correct?
