Mi16 Wheel Differances

Hi Guys,

 

Not sure if you guys know or not but it might be something to concider if your moving to larger brakes and using the factory wheels.

 

The castings are difference between the Italian and French made wheels. The french made wheels have extra material around the base of the hub mounting face.

 

I've got a mix of Italian and French made wheels that i use on the 205. I'm running the 307 front brakes and with the Italian made wheels they are fine, however the French made wheels hit the calipers.

 

They have roughly 5-7 mm less clearance than the Italian ones... I didn't measure this it's just an estimate.

Would that mean a significant difference in weight?

For the Mi16 wheels there is at lease 3 manufacturers : SPEEDLINE Italy, SMR France and an other one...
