Well, changed the thermostat today, I say change but the previous owner had chopped the old one off... why they bothered to bodge when a new part is £12 I'll never know. Anywho in my efforts undo the bolts guarding the thermostat i broke this..

 

 

Any ideas what it is? I've driven 60 miles today and the car seems fine. Better in fact than before I started tinkering, but that'll be due to be tightening the throttle cable.

 

Two more photies in case you don't know where it is, top of the throttle body phase two. Hope someone can help!?
