Falken Fk-452

Now im pretty sure I've seen these mentioned here before, not that I can find anything using the search.. Just wondering if anyone has had any personal experience with them? There seems to be a lot of good noise around the Net.

Got some 16" wheels to pick-up at the weekend, but theyre sitting on 205/55/16, thats going to bugger my rolling radius, plus the tyres are part worn... so looking at the falkens all round @ 205/50/16 or 205/45/16 (Ideal for rolling radius but not my behind) The idea being to combine an upgrade in looks with a slight handling advantage. Currently runnning on near baldy 195/55/15 P6000's so that shouldnt be hard

Don't really mind going a bit more expensive, but only if there is an exponential difference in handling..

Got some 512's on a set of wheels somewhere that i found weren't as bad, but whatever the Falkens are that are on my goodwood wheels (on my 205Mi atm) are f*cking dire, possibly not quite as bad as Stunner's or similar, but in this weather at the moment they're awful, even considering putting the A539's (summer use) back on they're that poor!

Though saying that, they're probably better than P6000's, even if they weren't bald!

i wasn't happy with Falken's FK-451 (iirc) in 205/50/16 on my T16 really.

very bad in wet and that's with 4wd... though they were oldish at the time.

Hmm what about PZERO NEROS or any other recomendations?

Incidently whats the best way to get rid of a set of wheels, can you just take em down the tip? or does anybody here want them. They're the origional pug wheels the lemans came with, and the laquer is absolutely useless they will need sandblasting and starting again. Tyres are the same, stunners <_< anywho theyre free if someone did want them..

452's are great, Can;t fault them at all and I;ve run both 451 and 452's now, They last well and for the money can;t be beaten I think.

Wet grip is excellent too, even mine now which are nearly worn out still grip better than the Yoko Parada's on my Dads 306 Gti and around castle combe a good second quicker than the toyo Proxies which don;t last too long either.

It is odd as I know the 512's are dire

I have a set of Kleber Dynaxer DR on my own car. Well impressed with them.

You couldn't go wrong with Bridgestone Potenza RE720 or similar. Great all round tyre and not too expensive either

Nero's are good, top tyres, come on the likes of Porsche's and Ferrari's.

Theres the new wheels, decent fit without spacer but the front tyres are catching the plastic engine splash guard things in the wheel arches. Sooo i duno wether to dremel away the offending area of the plastic, or go for 195/55/16, would this be safe? The tyres that came with the wheels are avon front/goodyear rear at the mo, cant remeber the model of tyres they are, but pretty generic as youd find on a factory car type. However much a step up on the thinner balder p6000's steerings a tad heavier but not bothered about that. May stick with them for a while if i find away to fit them properly. Dont want to go down spacer route, plus i think the tyres would run the body side of the arch if i did, vey odd as i believe these wheels are supposed to be 12mm difference in offet, but they seem to fit snug just a teeny bit wide.

What do we think?

Roof respray on monday too, then pretty much ahppy with the exterior!

car looks good, the wheels suit it i think, you have chosen well :D if its only just catching the plastic liner then id be tempted to do as you suggested and just try to remove as little of the plastic as possible.
