Brake Lights Gone..

Hi All,

 

Good to see an mi16-centric forum out here!

 

Hoping somone can offer some simple advice as all of my brake lights are out right now (both rears and high-mount).

 

I've quickly checked bulbs and they seem ok. I've also checked the fuses and can't see a dead one.

 

Do the brake lights work off a relay?? if so which one?

 

btw: mines a 1992 - 1.9litre series 1 (.5?)

Hi there, welcome to the forum

 

Have you checked the brake light switch? It is next to the top of the brake pedal, you can't miss it. If you take off the connector and bridge the contacts, and the brake lights come on, then the switch is faulty.
