ryan13961345402285 1 Posted July 25, 2007 Front are 6.5" and the rear are something like 8" which you can't really replace properly without making a replacement shelf
petespug405mi16 0 Posted July 25, 2007 it is posable to make some speakers fit in the original baskets the rear speakers are housed it makes them stealth same size speakers front and back

It takes a bit of effort filing and cutting bits to make it fit, but looks just the job when you've done it
Guest turbolag Posted July 25, 2007 Aye, my old 406 had a similar arangement, but i dismembered the old kack speakers and uses the plastic baskets as a kind o adaptor plate to mount the new ones - worked a treat, but looked totally original. Worth the effort and knuckle blood!
Feeble 0 Posted July 25, 2007 Standard speakers are very good on Peugeots in my opinion though
Guest turbolag Posted July 25, 2007 i got infinity's hiddenin the doors, but the OE rears are on their last knockings. Will make a nice project, with photos.

I said "I'll pop back later"

ryan13961345402285 1 Posted July 26, 2007 (edited) I'm talking about replacing them properly; ie for sound quality. Should have explained myself a bit better, but I used to have a 405 that I used for sound offs. I had to make a complete new rear shelf for it. AFAIK there was no manufacturer that made direct rear replacement speakers for a 405 Edited July 26, 2007 by ryan1396

KRISKARRERA 2 1 Cars Posted July 30, 2007 Grrrr just discovered the left hand tweeter speaker is not working, bit of a shame really as Miles replaced them with quality Pioneer 80w jobbies. Also the left door speaker is vibrating nicely on the slightest bit of bass so that'll need sorting too.
