Leaky Sunroofs

Recommended Posts

Ahoy peoples. Long time since I've been on here!

Anyway, today I finally had enough of my poxy sunroof that's been leaking for a year. The final straw, was getting into the car and finding the drivers footwell about half an inch deep in water. <_<

The water seemed to be collecting in the front corners of the sunroof, and I assume leaking in as the head linning is soaked! So I took the inner arch linners off and blew some compressed air up the drains., voila, water pissed out of the drains.

Is this the only place the sunroof can leak from, or are there other weaknesses apart from the drains?

Hello,

I also had to clean the 4 water drains form my MI16 sun roof. The water you mean appearing on the driver floor side, also appears on my 405.

I think that water is not from the sunroof, it is from the hole where is located the servo and ECU, where the wires travel from the engine compartment to the interior of the car, but is not all...

However, i've sealed that part and water still coming to the driver floor.

The most "bizarre" is if I park my 405 with the left side of the car higher than the other, no water will come insise...
