Hello everyone! I'm from Bulgaria and I have Peugeot 405 mi16 1,9L 1990. I love this car and i wand to upgrade the engine! But I don't know what to do! Please help me!

first you need to tell us what engine is it - 147 or 160 bhp.

 

and then you have to tell us your planned budget .

'90 could be DFW or D6C

have a look on the engine block just behind the alternator bracket and there should the engine code plate. which will say if its D6C or D6W. although im sure d6w engines were on the later 1.9 mi16's so yours should be the 160bhp engine.

True but is Bulgaria one of the places that had the DFW engine only?

I don't know what is my engine. I thing is 160hp! But tonight i i was on competition and i broke my gearbox! tommorow i will see the engine nomber and i will tell you. :) thank's that you whrite to me!!::) the budjet is not so big!! i don't what to buy some expensive parts! I prefer to make something on Cylinder Head Porting but i dont know what!! and on Intake Manifold Porting! I'm watching pictures on www.505turbo.com! if you have some pics on my engine please I WANT TO SEE HOW! bye for now!

Hi, the XU9J4Z is the catalyst model = DFW with 147bhp.

Unless by some accident he really does have a D6C block but with xu9j4z management?
