X4 Transfer Box Swap

Has anyone done this as i'm about to take on the challenge!! Any tips or methods to make it easier??

Do you mean swap it for something else? Or just remove it?

Just a replacement. The one in it at the moment is broken so i have a refurbished replacement now ready to go in, just haven't done one before!!

You should plan to do the clutch at the same time. It would be silly to go that far and not replace it. It's all fairly straight forward, just lots of bits:

 

- front shafts

- prop shaft

- cross members

- bottom mount

- transfer box

- gearbox
