405 Mi16 Pictures

I know that in a way it's blasphemy to say this but I'd love to stick a T16 engine into a mint late phase 2 RHD 405 Mi16. Obviously it wouldn't handle or grip quite as well being only a 2wd but it'd be lighter and I guess one would have LSD or something. Be better balanced than a 205 T16 anyhows.

Sorry I'm supposed to be posting pictures arent I . Trouble is it's cold outside and the car is filthy and is mid matrix change. And about to have GTI6 springs.

Thats my old one that I scrapped. There was a 2" hole in the front n/s chassis leg, the front crossmember was crumbling away, and the rear chassis legs had holes in. I took off all the good bits and reshelled it.

Took the new 405 out for her maiden thrashing today

Ah I see! The 205 is a fair bit quicker, but then it is stripped out with an Mi engine on carbs!

seeing as everyone else was out cleaning and my 405 has been neglected rather I thought I'd join in...

only done the bonnet and drivers side wing so far as it takes quite some time due to the length its not been cleaned :

all I've changed is the exhaust to a SS replica of the original system but with freeflow silencers

I have xenon here to.. they will be fitted as soon as the snow will disapear

I have to figure out the elektrics first.

I want to disconect the angelrings, but keep the led strip.

and when testing the both xenon sets (hi and low beam) the just shtudown, no idea why yet, havn't had the time to have a look.

It's not easy on theese headlight since they are glued.. But with some work you should be able to fix it

I'm not going to remove the rings, just disconnect, but there is only a little space to work en look where the wires are gooing

That le mans is luch....i always said diablo red is one of the best colours when new and shiny,if Dean sees these pictures he'll hopefully get a bit more motivated to get Lucy sprayed as the laquer peel on the roof is shocking.
