It wasn't a planned purchase, just a spur of the moment thing. Went to the scrap yard looking for an intercooler for my mate's 205, and spotted the poor thing at the side of the yard. Thought, no, it can't be... lifted the bonnet... it is... how much?... ok I'll buy it! And that was that

The exhaust aint too bad on the new one. Sounds nice, but has a ridiculous 4" or 5" tailpipe which has started melting the bumper

 

Think I might take a load of high res fotos and have a 405mi16.com vote on which one should stay on the road Trouble is, I'd feel guilty breaking my current car, even tho it is quite rusty and bashed about. I think the 405 Mi16 bug has bit me hard

The pics don't do it justice... I'm still waiting to find the reason why it was so cheap but the harder I look the more new parts I discover. Maybe I just got lucky with this one...?

I found a black one in the back corner of a scrappy nr me about a year ago, was pretty tatty but i love black, i asked about it, found out it had a snapped 'belt, but asked the price anyway...

Picked it up today, £150. It's a 4bie, non runner, been off the road for 5 years. Engine turns but wont fire up! Not bad eh?

Stripping it for parts... Bodywork is very tatty!

 

Shame as my mate would of loved it. It probably wouldn't have taken too much work to get through an MOT, but the paintwork is so bad it would need a whole respray. I'm gonna get all the running gear refurbished ready for when mine goes pop!

They had those made up within the PSOOC forum, I was gonna get some at the time but my front bumper looks like someone's used it as a dartboard lol.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm that looks tasty! have you altered the suspension at all with those wheels? Most 405's I've seem with them look a little gawky but that looks straight as an arrow!

 

Waa mine looks so faded after seeing all these nice shiney cars!
