The car needs an serious wash :P But I haven't had the time since I had quite an accident the day after I bought it.. The grill will be replaced with an original I think..

And yes, I LOVE the rims :lol:

Nothing serious I hope? :unsure:

The car looks good dirty I reckon :) Looks mean and purposeful lol. But sure it will look even better when shiny again. And the wheels are :wub:

In all the excitement - I forgot ........ :huh::P

There is also a ban on video from vehicles - the marshalls were checking very carefully every car that went out.

No matter - back there in a few weeks :)

The Ring management are under considerable pressure from road safety and environmental political groups in Germany to cease Touristfahren operations. They have never formally come forward and said why they banned video from vehicles, but it is a widely held understanding they wish to minimise the chance of any fatal crashes appearing on the net.

People can still film from the trackside, but spectator areas are restricted to a couple of corners (mainly by the fact that most of the track is not readily accessible).

So - no filming from the car, 300 euro fine and a season ban if caught. ;)

Hello everybody! Greetings from Finland. I 've been watching this forum for a while, and now thought that I could register myself. This is a picture of my second 405, first one was SRI -88, and nowadays I've got Mi16x4 -90. It was fun in the winter. B)

patonkiauz1.th.jpg(Picture taken by prewious owner.)

Nowadays it's waiting for "little repair", gearbox output shaft / transferbox input shaft needs to be replaced. Should be running again in July. Though I fix it myself, it feels almost impossible to wait that. ~3 months without driving Mi, makes me go crazy. :blink:

Hi, i'm Ryan, just joined up. Here's a few pics of my 405.

1992, black heated leather, climate control, aircon, electric sunroof/windows/mirrors, ABS, uprated panel filter, full stainless exhaust. Currently replacing rear brakes, timing belt, tensioners, full service, new coil, removing every piece of rust from the car, refurbing the wheels, replacing brake pipes etc. Fitted a Phase 2 boot spoiler, phase 2 badges all round and half-tinted the rear lenses (Phase 2 stylee!). Have gotten into the way of cleaning and painting everything that I take off the car, ie engine brackets, inlet manifold, fuel regulators, fuel rail, rocker cover etc etc (things like that). Taking my time with the rebuild because I want it looking good as it is one car I've always dreamed of owning ever since I saw a brochure back in '88

PS, why can't I use the upload picture function on here nor change my avatar to one of my own pics?

New addition to the fleet :D

Pics first:

H reg, 103,000miles, MOT til Oct 07. Looks a little rough around the edges but seems a good solid car. Lots of new bits, cloth interior, no AC.

Best bit was I rescued it from a scrap yard and only cost me £300! Think I might transfer all my engine and running gear from my current car to this shell as it's loads tidier than mine, obviously replacing the wheels, boot and exhaust ;)
