After pulling off the hubs on my 306 for new bearings, I've noticed the shocks are weeping. Don't particularly want to shell out for new ones, so will 205/206 ones fit?

I've got a pair of 206GTi ones in the garage, and a pair of unknown yellow 205 GTi ones. But I'm concerned the length differs between them and may ruin the handling (it's actually not that bad for a weedy model!).

The drop link brackets are different between 205 and 306 dampers, which I suspect will be a problem with the design of 306 drop links.

Fitment is physically the same otherwise, and I'd imagine that 205 GTi and 306 boggo dampers are probably vaguely similar damping wise given that 306 GTi ones are a slight upgrade for 205's. No idea about 206 GTi ones though.

i found the body length on 306gti6 dampers fractionally longer than 205 ones, so when using the same springs raised the ride height a little

Just pulled out a pair of 205 GTi ones, I think they're Spax, and there is a difference in height. The 206 ones don't look far off, but think probably best to go for like-for-like if I can.

You have PM Paul! :)
