MiniGibbo 142 Posted August 12, 2012 As above I've lost the passenger indy and repeater.. What do we reckon bulbs or something more sinister.?
EZ Tutty 7 1 Cars Posted August 12, 2012 In the engine bay follow the wiring back from the offending indicator, it should go to a plug with another set of wires coming off the same side (for the side repeater), and a single pair on the other side (feed from the indicator relay), usually it's this pair of plugs that cause the problem, trying cleaning them, or better yet do what i did and just chop the plugs out and solder the wires together. The only reason this pair of plugs is there at all is due to the fact some 205's didn't have side repeaters and rather than modding the loom they made an additional mini 'link' loom to run the side repeater. Baz 421 Posted August 12, 2012 They're on the same circuit so you'll lose both if one's dead iirc. Probably just iffy/corroded connectors.
welshpug 1,646 Posted August 12, 2012 if youve lost both it'll be the sub-loom connection just behind the headlamp, brown two slot plug.
MiniGibbo 142 Posted August 13, 2012 Cheers lads I'll have a look when I get chance.. What is it with old French cars and earthing problems LOL
pug_ham 243 3 Cars Posted August 13, 2012 Whenever this happened on my cars its been the brown connector near the headlamp dragging the earth down. Strangely, sonce re-doing the headlamp panel earth points to all ring terminals on the bolt, it hasn't happened again. g
MiniGibbo 142 Posted August 17, 2012 Yeah I've just had a look and made sure all the plugs where pushed in and none of the wires have snapped. Hasn't fixed it and that's as far as my wiring talent goes lol.. Back to miles the car will go.
welshpug 1,646 Posted August 17, 2012 pull the plug apart, clean terminals, push back together giving it a damn good wiggle as it goes.
