Heater Matrix - Gsf

Recommended Posts

2052006

GSF are being as useless as ever and can't tell me whether their heater matrix for the 205 is a Valeo one until they get it ordered in. Can anyone confirm if they still are Valeo ones (about £29)?

Also, one branch says they can't order any in as there's no stock, another says they can! Anyone got any more suggestions of motor factors that may be more reliable than GSF for a Valeo Matrix?

ECP ones are pattern items (or certainly were last year).

GSF used to sell Valeo a few years back, but not sure if that's still the case.

What I meant was: has anyone managed to buy one from GSF recently and if so was it a Valeo part!

Called ECP too - they don't know what make their's is either.

I have ordered one from GSF anyway, in the hope that it is still Valeo they supply...

CP4L pattern ones have been used by a fair few on here without problems that I have noticed.

I got one last week from GSF. It's a pattern unit from a German brand.

I wasn't impressed. The matrix is banana shaped, and the angle on the pipes is wrong so it doesn't fit.

It's going back. (Fortunately, when I took the old one out, it was just the O-rings that had gone, so I am OK...)

Anyone know if a Nissens matrix is any good? I know their radiators are well thought of so i imagine the heater matrix will be ok. Plenty of those on ebay for about £35. I'll be needing one soon anyway

I bought one from GSF a few months ago. It wasn't Valeo.

Turned out not to be Valeo in the end. Came in a box branded Topran. Matrix fitted ok, though I ended up re-usIng the pipes as the new ones were not the right angle, just used the new seals. Matrix does look suspiciously similar to the ecp one though, which is half the price...

I have checked and my o rings are gone but is it worth replacing the whole matrix I can't see that its a big job and I have a expensive headunit sitting below. I thought it may be a good idea as I have no idea if or when it has been changed. what is the cost of a ECP one and have they had good reviews?

Is about 13 quid from ECP. No problems that I've noticed with it.
