Help Needed!

Hi guys,

Its been a long time since I last posted on here but i'm afraid I have a question.

 

Does anyone know the correct font for the 205 Rallye and Turbo 16 text? I have been asked to recreate the graphics on Kankkunen's old T16 that happens to live a few miles down the road. Its just been rebuilt after a pretty huge and daft crash in a car park. I have another T16 to work off, but obviously having the right font makes life a lot easier just for that sticker.

i am guessing yes, but have you tried a photo of it from something, making it greyscale, and deleting noise etc and running it through WhatTheFont?

[EDIT] I just tried putting this image through 'what the font' and though it was fine recognising the individual characters, there was no match.

needs to be more face-on and with the background tidied up / greyscale really so it detects better i use it for millions of stuff, it's usually very good

 

it's probably a normal font with some rules punched through it

 

i'm having a look now. it looks similar to Geometric Stencil EF / Futura Black SB but not 100%, plus the lines would need altering so forget that!

Doesn't match to anything so I think i'll just have to trace it and line it back up - what I was going to do anyway!

Now have the full artwork for the car sorted, stripes, text, logos, everything.
