Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend a retailer who still sells the standard 1.9 gti front springs?

Thanks

Please excuse the bad spelling in the title.

I think you should be able to get some from a good motorfactors.

I have a set for sale that have been blasted and painted. Drop me a pm if you're interested :)

I've tried a number of places but for some reason there seems to be only 1 spring left - KYB something or other. Don't want to go down the route of lowering springs.

Thanks for the offer of the used ones, I'll keep that in mind.

There's 3 springs for injection 205's still available, though I don't know which colour code they should be on the gti.

5002 37 / T1 and 33 are the ones not marked NFP.

Finally got my springs fitted although the car looks more like a 4x4 205 to be honest. It would need to settle by about 2 inches!

Some Cti's that I have seen sit at a 4x4 stance. Maybe you have a pair of them?

Hmm not sure, ordered them from England. I did measure them and they seemed to match the standard size.

I'll leave these for a week or two and see how they settle, if no change I'll ditch them and move to another brand.

there is a fair bit of air between the wheel and arch with standard springs, but they all need to settle in too, so as you say, give it a week or so....
