I have just bought a genuine Peugeot 205 roof rack. I have fears it won't fit mine but will see how I get on. Says 3/5 door but I am unsure how it attaches to a 3 door until I unpack it.

Tried it, but is for a 5 door

 

Still, I could fit both bars a foot apart to the top of the door shuts and transport my lunchbox if needs be.

 

Will pop it up for sale at some point incase anyone with a 5 door daily wants it.

I purchased one off ebay a genuine one and it cost £2.00 they are worth looking out for. I have a vaccum sliding sunroof is that what you are referring to? Mine fits perfectly I took it off last week and there were no marks.

 

And its very useful especially when moving house!

I've got and used a roof rack on the GTI many times. Great way to transport ladders, 8x4 sheets of ply etc, kayaks and boards.

With vacuum sunroof too.

Genuine pug roof rack for a 3 door. It was about £80 IIRC. I used it a lot for carrying surfboards down to devon and cornwall...
