assuming you even still have the plug on your loom, itll be very easy for you. just weld boss into exhaust, screw in lamdba and plug it in...

The GTI-6 loom should have a lambda plug already in it.

£60.00, ouch, a Stainless boss is around £8.00 and welding one on takes all of 10 minutes

Just make sure you have a live to the sensor

Just make sure your plug hasn't been chopped off and that you have ignition live on the connections.

well all the wires are going to the plug from ecu im assuming one of these will be a live ??

The live goes from the Fuse box normally where it has a separate 10amp fuse in a 306

O2 sensors also have their own direct fused supply in 205.

205's never had them in the UK until 1992 on, So no yours will not but just check for 12v's at the plug, if not then I'd say also the VSS is not connected up either

tbh your loom should be intact. as long as you have the 4 wires connected as per my reply in one of your other threads you will be fine.

if you really have no idea what you're doing, take your car to miles or somebody else who knows what to do and wont melt something...

in that case yes i am lol......... looking at lambda sensor plug seeing 4 wires going into ecu loom where would the live go as there is no more pins free.....

The feed for the lambda on a GTi-6 is from the double injection relay via the inertia fuel shut off, earth is through the ecu pin 17 to battery negative / main ecu loom earth terminal.

The other two wires run between the lambda & ecu.

It should do but from how you've described your loom I wouldn't like to guess.

A few minutes with a multimeter (iirc you don't have one so that'll be a problem) will test the wires to see if there is any reason why it won't work & you can test the sensor itself to make sure its not dead already.
