Heaters Not Working

Hi guys

I have 1.6 Gti cut long story short I had to change the interior loom ( behind dash ) I used a 1 litre 205 loom and the heaters don't work!!! Is it because I have used a 1 litre interior loom or are they same and I need to look into the problem ????
