Just had an EPAS motor from a Corsa B grafted on to the 205 steering column.

I have a quick rack and a Trans X diff and after low speed tight sections or hairpins needing a tug on the bar during road rallies my arms were dead. I have now done around 150miles with the EPAS and it is sooo much better. No more fighting with the car, turning into hairpins one handed is no problem, I wish I had done it years ago.

So far, for me any way, it has made the 205 drive better esp. with the dial to vary assistance.

I know others have been thinking of doing this conversion - for me it is well worth it.

Not seen it but the MGF PAS is more of a direct fit, I'll keep my eye's peeled to see if it works

Nice one mate,I have been thinking about this for quite some time now.

After fitting the Tran-x it deffinatly needs pas,so I'm buying a Quaife quickrack to get the lock-lock down.

Was speaking to EPAS guru Roger Hicks the other week and he said he's done loads of conversions and they totally transform the car.

Seen quite a few people swapping there saxo conversions to the corsa conversions recently.

Roger did this for me. The only thing I would do is move the std ecu so that the motor rotates a bit further round.

Bit tricky to take good photos now it is installed but you get the idea.

A recon EPAS system with ecu (manual control of how much assistance via potentiometer ) fitted onto a Peugeot column. Driving the car you would think it was developed specifically for the 205.

Not heard about the MGF EPAS being used. I presume a new controller box needs to be produced, or would the one for the Corsa column still work ?
