No Servo Assist?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just trying to finish my gti6 conversion, however the brakes seem to be playing up! I don't appear to be getting any assistance from the servo at all, which worked before the engine swap. I have the vacuum feed going into the servo by itself (i.e, no t piece) as I was led to believe this would work fine. Any ideas before I go and buy a new servo? Cheers

Are you using the vac pump, manifold or both?

Could be that the vacuum pump is dead - connect the servo to the inlet manifold instead and it will probably work fine.
