Lesser Model 306 Hubs (Welshpug?)

I fear my 306s front wheel bearings are giving up.

 

Does anyone know if 1.6 hubs/shafts (or any others) will fit a 1.4 non-ABS pile of s*it model?

being a non-abs I believe it will have the smaller splines as used by the 1.6 and base models, the gearbox is MA so like any Tu engined 205 , but of course being a 306 its much too wide a track to use any 205 shafts regardless of if they fit either end.

 

having said that, some base or 1.6 model hubs would probably give silly camber IF the car is early enough to have 16mm balljoints, base model would allow you to use the original 306 brakes.

I think I'll just replace the bearings. Anthony has kindly offered the use of his press
