Break In

Was cleaning the car today and noticed these scratch marks on my drivers side window, no marks on the door frame though.

Really annoyed as all the glass is matching with number plate etchings.

 

 

 

Do you think someone has tried to break the window? Or is it something else?

if someone wanted into a 205 you'll either have a very bent door, or no evidence whatsoever if they knew what they were doing...

The white marks, you should be able to make them out?

 

I guess, the only other thing I can think of is if the window is moving in the frame when it's lowered.

Whip the door card off and have a look and see if the glass is catching on anything.

Perhaps you rubbed past a stiff bush. So to speak. More likely its catching going up and down though.

Could have been a snail covered in gravel?

From the spread pattern it looks like someone has thrown something at it?

Can that be fixed with those glass repair jobbies?

Or you must still be able to get number plate etching done somewhere.
