Pete C 0 Posted July 17, 2012 On my 205; master cylinder is 406 non-ABS 23mm, GTI-6 front calipers, standard rear calipers. Brake lines/compensators etc all standard 1.9 Symptoms: Soft pedal, excessive travel, a lot of pressure required to stop car Whoosh/hiss noise when I depress the pedal with engine running Pedal does NOT pump up with engine running Pedal will go hard after 2-3 pumps with engine off I have recently bled the whole lot through with a full litre of dot 5.1 until it ran clear out of all 4 corners so I'm as sure as I can be that there's no air in there.
