V6 Wiring

Recommended Posts

Hello I have a v6 from a d8 I'm trying to get it running on the standard mp7 ECU and immobiliser. Ive got almost all the looms from the car and I even have the alarm and central locking ECU's. Anyway the alarm and central locking is working off the button on the key but I don't think the immobiliser is reading the key. I'm getting no spark and if I set the alarm off the immobiliser wont deactivate it by turning on the ignition. I checked the transponder aerial around the ignition barrel and it turns out one of the wires coming from the coil isn't connected it's a grey wire number 8272 I assume this goes to the immobiliser but I don't know what pin can anyone help please

You won't need all the 406 alarm, c/l and transponder gubbings to get the engine running unless you actually want to use them? If your ecu was unlocked (disconnected ecu with engine running) you'll be able to get it running by connecting 7 wires or so.

I have posted the ecu pin numbers on here before but dont have them to hand i'm afraid. A search will reveal them i'm sure

Thanks

Stu

I'm not far from you and can remove the immobiliser from these, I've done 2 v6 conversions so far and quite a few of these ecu's for members on here.

If you really have to have the immobiliser working and can connect the ecu and immobiliser to a diagnostic connector I also have peugeot planet.
