Gentry Mi16

Hi, I've recently bought a 205 gentry with an mi16 and 1.6 manual gearbox. I have noticed that there is some positve camber on the drivers front wheel. I have checked the wishbone and everything seems straight. I believe it has 1.6 gti hubs as the discs are offset around 10mm in from the hub face. I'm thinking that I may have a bent hub or strut (spax adjustables). Any info would be greatly appreciated

Positive camber? i.e. the top of the wheel is leaning out

You only mention the driver's side, is there signs of damage to the rim? Could it have smacked a curb and bent something out of shape?

hub, strut, but more likely wishbone... either that or you have a 309 on one side and a 205 on the other...

Only 10mm inset from hub face to disc sounds more like 1900 discs to me. What size is your outer cv thread, 24mm is 1900, 20mm is either 1600 or base model.

I would tip that your car could have an odd hub. Has the side with the positive camber hub got an ABS sensor hole, this is a dead giveaway for a 306 or Xsara hub.

nope it's not that car... i've seen his hubs today and there are holes for what looks like abs, could it be an early 306 hub? anyhow i've lent him a 1.9 hub to see if that solves the issue

Cheers folks and Dave hopefully the hub should sort it. We will find out tomorrow. It appears the hub was a 306 hub as my first assumption. So I am now on the lookout for a 1.9 hub to replace the borrowed one.
