Is It Wrong That I Want.....

Recommended Posts

Simes

Am I right in my memory that they were originally designed for the French pig farmers to transport pigs to and from market??

They were to get people mobile cheaply, remember the design origianted just before WW2.

There was a brief that it should cross a ploughed field with a basket of eggs and that none should break. Also the provision to fit a large load in the boot.

All seats are easily removable, the suspension although looks crazy is actually very clever. (I've just assisted with the rebuild of this on my dads!)

The 1015cc engine from the Ami Super or GS fits nicely and will get you up to 90mph. Failing that a flat twin BMW bike engine ;)

I wouldn't want to do 90 in one!! I think Citroen got it right by only putting a low power engine in... Could you imagine the state of the car if something hit you doing 90?????

I'm gonna simply say what I said in a previous post....

"Some people have too much time and money!!!"

That's about as much 2cv as the evo205 4wd jobbie is, but seriously impressive none the less!! And looks pretty good!!!

On the subject, i've been in france over the last week and whilst driving down the (i think) D901 from boulougne to Abbeville i passed a massive 2CV specialist - probably had a hundred out the front with a few others like ami8 and H vans as well

Hahaha

That's pretty true, but when I was growing up the Skoda's and Lada's were the upside down skips... Who knows what the 2cv could be in time...

Nah scrap that!! It'll still be a 2cv lmao
