1.6 Afm On Dkz 1.9 Motor

hi

found out that my DKZ 1.9 Gti , is running on 1.6 AFM + 1.6 ECU (ends with 340)

how does this affect the car/performance?

I'm surprised it runs at all, You need a Motronic AFM and not a Jetronic one

I'm in the process of restoring the original parts of my car , the motor is DKZ , running with 340 (1.6) ecu . and no catalyser , which AFM should i get (number?)

*(1.9 Motronic DKZ engine has hollow dizzy , without bob weights springs pick up coil etc. - non mechanical just an shaft and rotor arm inside the housing)

 

Injectors

Bold numbers are for DKZ engine , though you'll need a 3 row engine loom with double fuel/injection relay system evap solenoid in order to make it all work on Motronic management ..

Mixing parts/sensors is bad practice , if you can't collect all bits to do the Motronic system , run it with Jetronic either 1.6 or 1.9 but with the all matching sensors/units for which ever you chose from the two .

thanks a lot for making things clear %

to get a 3 row engine loom is hard and means to wire the whole car from the beginning ; i will try to get the parts and see what difference it makes
