ross_mac1987 2 Posted July 6, 2012 as some may know i recently purchased a 1990 1.6GTi with a Mi16 conversion. when having the car up on the ramp i noticed that it had a PAS rack fitted (not plummed in) is the main reason for doing this to reduced the lock to lock? and is it really a noticiable upgrade? thanks Ross
Slo 283 1 Cars Posted July 6, 2012 having a power rack unplumbed is called a quick rack as its still manual but the lock to lock is considerably smaller
Anthony 1,002 Posted July 6, 2012 Assuming it's a normal 205/309 PAS rack, it reduces it to 3.2 turns from lock to lock, compared to 3.9 turns for a non-PAS rack
