Ford Prop Shaft Flange Bolt Pattern

Ok, I know it's not Pug related (smacked wrists) but you're a knowledgeable bunch.

My little Lotus 7 project has hit a stumbling block - I've had a lovely spacer made up to bridge a gap between the propshaft and the input flange on the rear diff - a standard Sierra unit (6.5" I think they're referred to as?), not Cosworth, just off a run-of-the-mill Sierra.

The bolt holes are 90m PCD, 4 bolt pattern, but I've got caught a cropper on one aspect.... I'd assumed they were at 90 degree placings around the flange, evenly spaced - but they're not.

I need to know what the spacing is on them in terms of degrees around the flange. 4 bolt holes, M10x1.0 pitch.

I can find reference to the English axle having a 100deg/80deg spacing... is the Sierra pattern the same does anyone know?

It's certainly in that sort of area - the bolt holes only miss aligning by a few degrees (no more than the diameter of the bolt hole itself).

Cheers,

Dan

Give Neil at 105speed a call, does parts for anglias. He gets all our props modified at a place in Bedford but unsure on the name.

Cheers James

Just mention Jim from Northampton motorsport said you could help out. The props are excellent quality and weve yet to have any problems with them, mainly use them for high powered westfields, 250bhp+ so that gives you an idea.

Thanks JIm - he was a star, and confirmed it is the 80/100degree split on the Sierra diff same as the English.

In fact, the spacer is going to be so much, I'm just going to get a new prop made to order from Neil instead - so thanks for your tip, it's got him some business ;)
