Seim Driving Lights

Recommended Posts

maturin23

Hi all,

I'm in the process of 'refreshing' the old girl, and I'm treating her to new headlamps, indicators and driving lamps.

I've managed to get hold of some OEM headlamps, but I'm struggling a little price-wisewith the driving lamps.

(I'm aware this topic has been discussed often since the dawn of time, but supply and suppliers change!).

I'm after the original parts rather than the aftermarket copies.

Best prices I have so far via Pug dealer are:

OEM indicators - £16 each

OEM (Seim) clear lens driving lights - £120.

I can probably squeeze a ten percent discount from above prices, so more like £15 and £108

Is this the best I'm going to manage? I notice Autofive have Driving lights OE – pair (Magneti Marelli) SIEM listed for £85, but are they actually a trustworthy company any more?

According to servicebox, they are NFP from peugeot. You can still get the glass/reflectors seperately, but not the metal trim that holds it all together. The glass' are £59.56 each and the reflectors are £37.09. I know i haven't answered any of your questions, i am just puzzled at which dealer has some available?

Hi Sam,

I've ordered them - apparently there are none in the UK but are expected next week.

If they actually come up with the goods I'll post their details up here.

Hi,

I am in the process of restoring my CTI at the minute and like you am replacing all lighting. Had you any luck getting OE lamps from dealer? They are showing up NFP for my local Peugeot garage. On a side note, are the Denji replacments that bad for a car that is only used occasionaly in good weather and stored indoors? I seen the OE ones on ebay for £75 each but am a wee bit reluctant to spend that much unless there is a huge difference in quality.

Many thanks,

Stephen

The Denji ones do the job fine lighting wise. That's what i've currently got on mine, as they were on the car when i bought it. I was going to get a set of Siems fitted but with them being NFP and with the prices of the ones that are left being quite high decided not to bother. But if you did want the originality factor then obviously the Siems would be what you'd want. Only thing i found on my Denji one's is that the metal frame tends to rust/oxidise on the surface fairly quickly but i guess that's because mine's kept outside, but it's nothing a light sand & repaint can't fix. Painted mine last year and they're still ok now.

You can still get these through some Bosch dealers (Strange I know). Last time I checked (which was in April) they were £35 each + VAT.

not strange at all, the ones I bought from GSF a few years back were bosch boxed, any Bosch stockist should be able to order them.
