Gti Fuel Tank Capacity..?

As above really.. How many litres does it hold or if anyone's realt clued up how much does the full tank hold in kg..?

50 litre tank, and I think the specific weight of fuel is in the definitive weight thread which is pinned!

 

Edit, 0.74g/ml or approx 3/4 of a kg per litre.

Cheers, I've tried to work out the weight before but all my searches for litres into kg just brought up American litres....

American litres are the same as UK/European - it's gallons that differ.

That may have been what it was then.. It was when I was trying to work out the weight of my BMW.

 

I know what ever it was it differed between uk and USA.

US gallon = 3.79 litres

Imperial (UK) gallon = 4.55 litres

 

Edit: Worth remembering as that also effects any calculations - in particular, any MPG figures in US publications will look lower than ours. 30 MPG in US gallons is 36 MPG in UK gallons for example
