FYI This has s*it all relevance.

Offer what you're happy to pay?

If you were going to collect and cut it out yourself, then it's worth beer money.

However, if you're asking someone to cut them out, pack them and courier them, that's a different matter entirely in my eyes - I would say that something in the £40-50 range for both sides would be about right including postage.

No it wouldn't, it'd be as easy as sending something else of similar size/weight.

If it means anything i have some and would be happy to send.

thanks mate, sure it was coming from a cti aswell. going to just make a card template and get metal from work , make my own as long as its neat and welded properly water tight that will do me, carpet will hide it all anyway.

Surely there's a CTi/CJ in a scrap yard closer to you than this guy's car?

Just make him an offer then? I don't understand why this is so difficult!

What's the worst he can say? "Sorry that's not enough." Offer him £20 posted and go from there, if he still won't tell you what he wants for them then tell him to f*** himself. ;)

Seems to me like he has no idea what it's worth and just hopes that you offer him too much, so start off low.

I agree with Anthony.

'Labour' and time all adds up. While it's nice to help people out, time is money (and sometimes hassle).

Agreed that you should work out what you're happy to pay, and bear in mind what is invloved with him doing it and sending.

Then - as already suggested - make him an offer and go from there.

However for your info - I got the whole floor pan for free (many thanks Cam). The £16 in fuel and a few hours to collect it was well worth that to me.

 A GTi then. what I mean is there must be a car in a scrappy somewhere nearer that he could take the floor pan from.
