Multiplug Pin Removal

Recommended Posts

I need to source a 7 pin brown plug and socket. I have found part numbers for the 6 and 9 pin variants, but not for the 7 pin.

As a last resort I may be able to remove some from a breaker, but what I would like to know is the best tested method for removing the pins from the plugs without damaging the plastic plugs. Is it a case of a careful tug with some pliers or would it be better to push the pin where it is crimped from behind? I don't want to ruin a plug with trial and error.

Thought I had found the blade holder, but was the blade holder in a diagram alone.

Then found the following which I think may be what I am after:

6542 G7 7 Voies de 5 - Maroon Clip Holder

6541 A7 7 Voies de 5 - Maroon Blade Holder

Should be correct.

Ryan (I think it is) has the part numbers of the various housings and pins in a link in his signature.

To remove the pins, undo the plastic latch/retainer on the side and the pins should come out quite easily without damage.
