Black with a white lip on a white car! Just done mine BMW Sepang bronze with a polished lip but my car is silver, should be on by the weekend.

I have djinuk's orange with metal flakes speedlines on mine. Look good on a low white 205. There are pictures on one of his old threads

Lilac with a mint lip

Or to be slightly more serious, it really depends on the rest of the car and thus the "look" you're going for.

If it's an otherwise standard example, keep with standard looking wheels in silver.

If it's a stripped out track car then perhaps something more adventurous.

Personally, I don't tend to like all black 1.9 wheels as you lose the detail, and white wheels on a white car doesn't look right unless the two shades are fairly close - earlier creamy white 205's and bright white wheels is a no-no for me. Goodwood style works well, as obviously does silver, and I quite like gold but suspect I'm in the minority with that one.

At the end of the day, only you can decide what you like as it's your car and your tastes. Plenty of photos floating around with most colour/finish combinations of 1.9 wheels fitted, so have a browse and see what you like.

im between goodwood and standard silver probably right that white on white wont look good.... maybe if it was a track slag then id go neon

Trying to get the car standard looking ish i.e standard ride hight, exhaust....

I like the look on peoples faces as the get eaten by what they think is a 1.6 gti :D

Having some speed lines refuted currently and I went through the same thought process.

In the end I decided to go with silver as they suit the white IMO. I wanted to go adventurous and have goodwood gunmetal without the polished rim, but you just can't go wrong with silver. I'd rather have silver and wish I'd gone gunmetal, than go for gunmetal and regret it.

Quite oddly I think when I decide on roll cage colour I'm going to go against the grain and go for something funky - which on an object not as easy to whip off and have repainted as wheels is a bit of a silly decision.

I'd go with silver. I agree with black being black you lose the wheel detail, and white on white is just too much white for my liking. But each to their own. I was toying with the idea of some nice gold wheels on my cherry red.

White Gti then Goodwood style (metallic anthracite with a polished lip). You could try silver with a polished lip if you want for standard but subtly different
