What are they???, ie multi mass, single piece and are they the same across the board so would a 1.1 have the same as a 1.6.

 

Basicully in wondering if you can lighten them..?

you have 180mm and 200mm versions, 200 on all the 5's, all solid single mass type, they can be lightened though no experience of how much.

i am pretty sure its possible to lighten any flywheel but i am also pretty sure they are different too! one of the tech guru's on here will be able to give you details no doubt!

I can weigh one but does anyone have any idea how light you'd want to go..?

i think they are pretty light compared to xu's arent they? at least the tu3s (xs) are

TU5s (200mm) are mostly about 6kg, but can be lightened down to 3.5-4kg for under 8000rpm, IF YOU KNOW what you are doing!!!! If not it could explode and cause severe injuries. TU3s (180mm) are mostly about 3.5kg, depending on injection type or carb type. It is possible to re-face and re-drill the TU3 one for the 200mm clutch. TU9 and TU1 are basically same as TU3.
