Hi guys ive just purchased and absolutely mint L plate 1100 205 shell with the view of preparing it to reshell My gti rally car I going to remove all the seam sealer and fit the ab motorsport strengthening kit with a weldin custom cage is there any places that the base shell is weaker than the gti as standard that I need to add more too or reinforce any tips would be gratefully recieved thanks

Be aware that some of the "seam sealer" is actually adhesive used to bond panels together.

 

The main area you will need to change is the rear arches to give clearance, especially as I'm guessing you'll be running gravel tyres.
