Alternative Coils Xu7

Hi folks.

As title really; Ive got a 306 xs XU7JP4 which has a slight hesitance throughout the rev range and it gets worse at 5000ish rpm.

I know it's not a 205 but I thought you lot have probably used allsorts of parts during your various conversions.

The car is factory stock and has the Sagem SL96 ecu. I wondered if there was a coil pack from another peugeot that would plug into the existing loom and use HT leads.

Thanks in advance.

Dan.

why not just replace with the same type, much easier, its the same as the XU10J4R.

I was going to try a second hand coilpack to see if the problem was with them.

I've ordered a new one now from gsf. Valeo unit for £115. Not bad really.

I've a similar problem on my 306, yet a 1.4 but with the same management. Google 'Peugeot 306 Sagem SL96' and you'll see a fair few have had problems with this ECU.
