Spotted - Very Nice Red Mi16 In Exeter

Hey folks,

 

So I haven't been on the forum for ages but earlier on when doing the lunch run to Tesco in Exeter I happened to spot a very nice red 205 Mi16. Looked completely original apart from the Mi16 badge on the back (at first glance I thought it was a 1.9 GTI).

 

It was a H reg one. I just wondered if it might be anyone on here?

 

If I hadn't have been in a hurry to get back to work I would have hung around and spoken to the driver, as it happened he was leaving just as I was pulling out of the petrol station... so if it was you and you noticed an orange 206GTI that was me struggling to keep up. I really want another 205 now :-)

Did the reg plate end in NFA? I think my old red Mi16 is running around that area somewhere.

Ahh thought it might not be. Although it is showing as being taxed again for the first time since I sold it so thought it might have been.

First thing I looked for was a 205 GTI Drivers sticker. I work in Exeter on Sowton Industrial Estate and live in Torquay. I didn't realise how big the 206 was next to the 205 either, that might explain partly why the 206 seems sluggish. Very nice example of a great looking 205 anyway, don't see many around these days (although a few weeks ago a guy near me was selling a 205CTI).

 

I saw my old red 1.6 205 recently too, I gather that someone in Paignton bought it (my mate sold it for me) a few years back.

 

I really must come on here more often, I'd love to go to a meet sometime if there are any in the area, saying that with the weather being as it has been and my tyres being a bit crap might not be such a good idea for me to try going quick at the moment. :-)
