Pepperpot Or Sl201 Type Wheels. A Query?

Recommended Posts

sensualt101

i have been looking at many threads and pics relating to the above wheels around the forum to see about self refurbishment and advice but thats not my query.

my wheels have made in spain stamped in to them with another 2 type of marking but no where does it say speedline or smr or belgique so my query to anyone ( who knows more than i ) is?

am i right in thinking that as with the 1.9 sl299 type wheel that there were several manufacturers of the 1.6 pepperpot sl201 type wheel as well?

and more than that who made mine marked with made in spain?

thanks for reading and any input here gratefully recieved.

Mark

The SL codes are Speedline, not SMR.

no idea which company made the wheels in Spain, but have seen quite a few other o.e wheels made in Spain.

indeed there are a few different origins and castings of the 1.6 gti wheel.
