205 Gti6 But Which Speedocable?

Recommended Posts

chris 417 mi

Which speedo cable is best to clear the gti6 exhaust manifold ? As my standard 205 one has been rubing on it and burnt though the sheath. Have been told a 405 one is longer but from which model ? Or if anyone has a part no ?

I had a 405 item that didn't have the clips on the clock end to secure it to the rear of the dials. I now use IIRC a 106 one which is longer than a 205 item but alittle shorts than the 405 one. Heat wrapped too.

This.

I'm running an original 205 secured away from the manifold and it's fine.

Item number: 270977796612 on ebay i believe or the pug part numbers 612396 for the 1200 one

I need one but being tight as theyre £40 from pug!! seems expensive as none pug ones got for under £20 in ebay.

If it's anything like the pattern speedo cables that I've used before, I'd either pay the dealer price or I'd get a good used OE one from a car being broken.

Just called and Ordered the 1200 mm one from the dealer as apparently last time they supplied me one ( the one fitted now which was a few years ago) it was the shorter one which explains why it struggles to fit :s

Apparently they had sent the wrong one so a small discount off this one is being organised :) )
