My car is in need of some tlc on the rear drivers quarter panel and I am not sure but I think they are unavailable now. Is anybody reproducing them yet if I cant find a genuine one? Or would I be better off going to the scrap yard and liberating one from a non saveable car? My parts man at the local pug garage is on to it but I don't hold out much hope......

Is it rusty, or is it just dented? If it's the latter, then a decent PDR guy will work wonders for a lot less money than replacing a rear quarter (which is, apart from the roof, the most labour-intensive panel to replace)

 

I had my whole car done last year, and I couldn't believe the dents the guy managed to make disappear...

both my arches where rusted through, there where a few on ebay but the bodyshop managed to rebuild them and now they look minters! had my whole car de-dented and resprayed!

my car was stoved in from behind by a van! it pierced the bootlid with the tip of the van wing and dented the rear quarter putting creases all the way as far as the quarter window!

the panel where the rear cluster sits is pretty mangled too..... I tried to upload a pic for you to see but its too big and I'm not sure how to resize it. I did wonder if it would pull out and be ok but not sure? I need a pro opinion. will re try the pics.

There's one on ebay at the moment, not sure which side thou, not a GTi one thou but easy to change

Miles, when you say easy to change, are you referring to easy to change the panel, or easy to change it into a gti wing? I did spot the one on ebay but I was put off by the fact it said gti wing and looked like a lower model one... thanks guys.
