Does anyone know how many are in the country?? As I cant imagine there cant that many. Also does anyone have any idea how many were originally produced?? And finally i have one lead but does anyone know of an exhaust manifold as mine has it missing

The manifold is something special IIRC,something to with being LHD.

That Miami on ebazzle needed some serious tlc!

 

Exhaust mani looks similar to a gti6 one, they pop up from time to time on eBay etc but never seem to sell due to them not fitting RHD motors.

Storm autos of whitney had a couple in from france mid nineties one was turned into a screaming banana yellow group A car and the other was a miami blue Gti s16 which I owned for 3 years and sold to a guy in warwick. It had 4 pots and a seriously nice exhaust manifold long before the 6 came out. I have been hunting for the h reg 309 for 4 years to no avail.

I knew of the ones robin at storm had as he is a good friend of my dads but that was long before i got into my 309s otherwise i would have snapped that up off him. How come you sold it on?? There is also 1 member on the 309 owners club that has one and then mine. Yes kev it is the miami one off ebay. It does need a bit of work but that didnt put me off as its a rare car and have always wanted one to add to my collection just means most of the other projects will take a back seat for a bit. It is also H reg is this the one you have been looking for?? So anyone know of any others?

There was one that AB motorsport used to have in Miami with 180 wheels on it as it was at Pugfest years ago. I'll see if I can dig out the pictures
