Outer Door Window Seals, Part Number?

Recommended Posts

benny205mi16

Hello,

I seem to remember a topic about this issue and it included part numbers and a possible group buy.

I have searched, been through the group buy section but can not find it.

I am talking about the outside window seal on the front doors, the one which sits at the base of the window and stops the rain water from entering the door inner. The ones which always shrink.

I think they were listed as weather shield or weather guard.

Does anybody have or know how I can find the part number for these?

Thank you

Oh right,

I wonder if "no production" might mean no more being made, but there might be some old stock about?

If your dealer is helpful, he may be able to track some down in stock somewhere.

I had the same issue, my local peougeot were performing at their most unhelpful, it always seams like I am causing them hassle by wanting to order things for an old 205.

Never the case at my Peugeot dealer... (Howards Peugeot Dorchester) They've always been brilliant and searched for a lot of bits. I can ask for you if they can source these... might be worth a try.

I've had quite a lot of interest in these seals, so to make it fair to everyone I will be listing the rubbers on eBay at the weekend.

They will be listed as 'genuine 205 exterior window rubbers'

That would be really good Alan if you do not mind. Thank you

Are the interior rubbers made up any differently to the exterior ones?

Interior rubbers don't shrink in the same way, if you can source interior ones (scrappy etc), swap them over to the opposite door and Robert is your Mother's brother.

I know the shapes are slightly different, but they could easily be made to fit.

ok, enquiry made at local dealer and the parts man is "exploring his avenues". He knew it was the door weatherstrip for a 205 when i told him the part #! god knows what numbers and parts pictures are in his brain?!...

I've asked him to try and source 3 if possible. I'll hang onto one then i'll have 2 spare to go to a good home...

I'll keep you updated on this thread.

Fingers crossed...

i'll take one if you can get one - might buy a pair if you're getting both sides? although i've only noticed my driver side leaking.
