205 Sleeper

Ive been toying with an idea to make a 205 sleeper/Q car, like a taking a 205 auto and fitting a gti6 lump but keeping the outside looking just mundane and base modelish has anyone ever done such a 205?

I would obv fit gti suspension and prob some 15 inch steelies, just for some more grip and better tyre choice.

When I did my re-shell I really wanted a 5dr but needed a car asap so settled for a friends XS. At the moment the paint is really flat and needs some attention, other than the exhaust and bonnet pins (which I assume everyone thinks is a barry boy addition) you would never know, its fun embarrassing people in it, where as the rallye looked like it should be quick.

 

 

Might have to sell it at the end of the summer though

Ha there is a beige XR on ebay for £295 that would be comedy, allye that looks great but was thinking more base model goodness, an xs still looks half sporty

I just couldn't drive around in a 205 with those base model front valance's! Even the 309 I just sold had quite a low front valance with driving lights, and that was a GRD. Saying that, it was brown on the outside and the dash and the seats and the carpet.....

Going to Australia for the winter and the funds are needed, I'd rather not but I don't have the sentimental attachment with the XS as I did to the Rallye.

Damm thats too old but very crummy looking, 3dr would handle better and i dont really like 5dr 205's, atari boy did you see that V6 partner van that was for sale on ebay few months back?

do it, and put it on bodies, make it faded red, or a plain white trio base model.

Dave do it, personal choice would be a van with steelies.

 

Think Paul was trying to shift his Gentry if you want the auto route. Shell was absolutely mint when I looked over it.

I need a garage to do something like this in, im not working outside with our great weather we have been having it just makes you depressed! Al that gti is still making the rounds and he wants 500quid with no mot! i sold it for less than that with 11 months ticket!! Alan yeah 205 vans have just vanished, tho on youtube there is a few french td 205s seeing off some cars such as gti6's and CTR's!
