Door Protector Trim

Hi All,

 

After having my 205 on and off (mostly off) the road for around 8 years I've finally decided to go ahead with a complete restoration.

 

I've been steadily gathering parts over the last year or so in preparation, but have ran into a problem with the exterior trim. I've purchased all genuine plastic trim and red inserts except for the door protectors and red inserts for the front and rear bumper (all NFP).

 

Can anyone help me out with a supplier of decent quality versions of these parts? I'm worried I'll end up with a restored car with non-matching door trims! My fall back plan is Plasticare on my existing door trim, but not sure what kind of match it will give against brand new trim.

 

Going to give Neat Autos a ring in the morning, but not holding out much hope!

Front and rear bumper inserts should be available. £17 a piece. Although probably No Further Production, I have seen a few people recently get hold of them from stock. If you have tried and failed, forgive me.

Yeah tried several dealers. Even had one guy check the database for all UK dealers and not one of them had any of the red mouldings or door protector trims.

 

The guy at Neat Autos went off to check the warehouse but never called back. Need to chase him tomorrow, but he didn't sound hopeful.

 

Looks like I've picked the wrong time to restore!

I got a hole set of genuine pug red trim bits in my garage after changing mine to Crome all in good nick only on my car a year.

O and prob no of some one in Brighton that can do the plastic trims for ur doors two.

Thanks for the offer Smokey. I managed to get the bumper trims in the end from Neat Autos.

 

But I'm very tempted to take you up on the offer of the door mouldings. However...I've received an email today telling me some of the arch trims I had ordered and paid for from Peugeot are now no longer available!!! What is wrong with Peugeot!?!?

 

I don't suppose your Brighton contact can do new front wheel arch trims too?
