Fitting 1.6 Pepperpots To A Mk2 Saxo 1.1

Recommended Posts

davey205

1.6 GTi alloys (14 x 5.5J) ET24

Saxo standard 4 stud steel wheels are (14 x 7j) ET15

I know the offset & width is different but I'm a bit confused about what I should do to get these to fit properly

Do I need spacers? if so what size?

Different wheelbolts?

saxo wheels are not 7"wide, the 1.6 gti wheel should go straight on but the tyres would be a bit tall at a 60 profile rather than the 106's 185 55

Ok, I must have got that wheel width info from a bad source./ misunderstood.

So is it just a case of getting 185 55 14 tyres and then just bolt them straight on?

Anyone got any recommendations for good tyre options please.

Thanks

But surely the offset is still wrong and I would need spacers ?

Would it be easier to fit 185 tyres to the 14 inch steel wheels I have ?
