What Colours Have You Painted Your Blocks?

Recommended Posts

benny205mi16

Hello,

I am just starting the rebuild of my engine, so I am going to paint the block but can not decide what colour, it's a mi16 with a red rocker cover so do I paint the block red as well or go silver or black?

What colour have people gone for?

I understand what you are saying, but I am not sure I can resist a bit of engine bay tarting.

Silver. It looks original and it's easier to spot oil leaks.

I thought you meant the googley eyes for a second lol

Clear lacquer would be good after a proper good clean down to make it all shiny!!

Backroadpug that looks good, what type of paint did you use? I have seen high temp engine paint for sale but only black, red or clear coat.

hi just gave the block a good clean then sprayed 8 coats of thinned out silver hammerite for a smooth finish.

If u have the time the block looks good just with a good clean.(I was in a hurry)
