I thought 205's didn't have that feature, or is it just mine? :o

Its a buzzer under the dash, i think its white box shape under the driver side, where the little storeage tray is( that is if your car is RHD?)

Does the door open switch work properly? If not, the lights on buzzer won't work.

My buzzer stopped working, swapped it with one from a 306.

Only seen them on phase2 205's, its a white box that looks like a relay, only 3 wires to it, can't remember where it is on a 205 though, 306 and 106 buzzers are the same.

Well , managed to find it , apparently i had to disconnect 1 of the wires )the left one( to make it work again .i think it's related to a mess was done on the instrument panel where i worked on.

Would it be hard to wire one of these up then if you haven't a phase 2 gti?

three wires....run one to ignition 1st position feed, run one to lights positive feed and one to door switch earth wire, the relay even has pictures to guide you.

so why did i have to cut on of the wires to make it work again? i had to cut the orange one...where do you think it goes?

My guess would be that the ignition feed wire is constantly live for some reason, as this would stop the lights-on buzzer from working correctly, and cutting the wire would address the issue (but means that the buzzer will now sound even with the ignition switched on, which it is not meant to do).

(note - I've not checked the wiring, so I'm guessing that orange is the ignition feed)

I may chop the one out of the ph2 and try and retrofit it in my ph1.5.

Ha Ha ..oh....THAT....beep, thats a buzzer:-)

I'm sure my 205 used to beep 4 times when I turned the ignition off. I always thought it was the SONY radio. In europe our lights come on automatically with the ignition on, so no need for a buzzer.
